Elizabeth Palaima is an experienced molecular biologist/biochemist who has been working with microfluidics, specifically for assay development and cellular analysis, for over 9 years. She has been the lead biochemist developing a microfluidic point-of-care IVD class II product. She has worked with flow cytometry, light absorbent, fluorescent, imaging based, and electrochemical based microfluidic projects. She has been involved in reagent development, protocol optimization, statistical analysis, interpretation, and reporting for accurate performance system assessment. She has also worked on several other various microfluidic based proof-of-concept projects. She has successfully obtained grant funding and has several patent applications directly related to microfluidics. She has basic knowledge of both SQL and R. Elizabeth graduated with a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from Boston University. During her Ph.D., she focused on glycobiology as related to cellular adhesion. The cool fresh air of northern Minnesota lakes can lure her into a family kayaking adventure. In Microplumbers Microsciences, she handles:
